Highlights
Highlights of the accomplishments of K.C. Nicolaou and his group are found in the article "Perspectives in Total Synthesis: A Personal Account" written by Professor K.C. Nicolaou on the occasion of his receiving the Tetrahedron Prize award (2002). This personal account begins with a brief biographical sketch of the author and traces his scientific career from 1970 to 2002. It is the most comprehensive summary to date of the author's activities. The journey begins in Cyprus (where he was born and schooled, 1946-1964), and then moves to England (where he studied, 1964-1972) and, finally, the United States (where he studied and has continued to work since 1972).
